Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Intensives for Children in Phoenix
What is Dynamic Intervention?
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a therapeutic approach used in physical and occupational therapy to help children with motor delay. DMI utilizes a combination of exercises and techniques to promote progress towards developmental milestones by improving the child's automatic postural responses and stimulating neuroplasticity.
The goal of DMI is to provoke a specific active motor response from the child in response to defined dynamic exercises prescribed by a physical or occupational therapist. This approach helps to create new pathways and connections in the brain that can enhance motor development and improve overall functioning.
